Candidates for this exam are seeking to demonstrate competency in the correct application of principle features of WordPress by creating and editing posts and pages in real WordPress websites. Candidates are expected to have a firm background related to managing Posts, Pages, Comments, and the Media Library, as well as using the post and page builder and editing the HTML code of posts or pages.

Prior to taking the exam, a candidate is expected to have approximately a total of 150 hours of combined instruction and hands-on experience with using WordPress. The attainment of the certification proves the competency of the Candidate at an industry standard-level and the readiness to enter the job market. Hiring managers can use this certification as a means of justifying the recruitment, as well as an index about the placement of a job seeker in a job.

Comments

  • Post a comment or reply to an existing comment
  • Edit, approve, unapproved, remove a comment or mark it as spam. Search for a comment or perform bulk actions on them

Manage Media Library

  • Recognize the difference between pixel sizes and compressions, the need to resize and compress media before uploading, and the need for mobile-friendly media
  • Upload, remove and modify attributes of media in the media library. Insert them to post or pages
  • Resize, crop, rotate, and flip images in the Media Library
  • Search for files in the Media library using filters or the search box

Advanced Editing in WordPress

  • Understand the importance of proper document structure and spelling and the importance of managing the size of your paragraphs and posts. Comply to web standards for accessibility
  • Recognize different types of licenses and copyrighted content. Decide on the proper license for your media and understand the dangers of plagiarism and how to avoid it
  • Understand the importance of Permalinks and Shortcodes and modify the HTML code of pages and posts
  • Understand the importance and meaning of SEO and recognize its guidelines. Use tags in your posts and understand the importance of using social media for promoting your posts
