VIDEO CONTEST:
Calling all students in Grades 9-12, ages 14-18! We have a wonderful opportunity for your students. They will gain knowledge about a very important health and environmental science topic while they are working on this project! The Florida Department of Health Radon Program is sponsoring the 2022 Florida Radon Video Contest for 9-12th grade students between the ages of 14-18. We select the Florida winners and celebrate their success. They then move up to the National Contest for more fame and glory!
What is so important about radon, you ask? Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers in the U.S. and 1 in 5 homes in Florida have elevated radon levels.
Please share this information with parents and eligible students.
Submit your video for the Florida Radon Video Contest until November 1, 2021.
